Disable the Auot Play of USB, External Disks And Cds

It is Kind of annoying to have a Auto Play which always pops up as soon as you insert a USB stick Or an External Disk Or Audio Cd's. Most Of the Virus's Trojan Horses Spread through the Auto play function of the window's. If you don't want to take further chances with the virus's or trojan horses or you typically want to disable this feature read further.

To disable the Auto play feature Go to Start Menu Click run type "gpedit.msc"

A Group Policy window will open. Go to Computer configuration, Click on system




In the right side pane Look for Turn Off Auto Play right click it and select properties.

Select the enable button and change the Turn off Auto play on, to "All drives"



It is easy to get rid of the auto play Isn't It ? And not to mention to be safer from autorun virus's and Trojan horses.
